Down That Forever Road

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Christmas was extra fun this year - my six and sixteen year old nieces were in town. It's been so long since I have been able to spend some time with them! The six year old is an absolute hoot - never a dull moment. It was wonderful to see the excitement through a child's eyes again. And, the younger one loves her Uncle Marty so much! She kept wanting to dance with him the way they danced at our wedding - how funny she remembers that moment. While the older one is not as outgoing & prefers the laptop and phone over family time, it was so good to spend time with her as well. I love those two girls & miss them. To top off a great Christmas, Marty and I actually got to spend two entire days together - it was the best! It is so rare that we are home all day on the same days. Our days off never seem to match up! The only downside this year was the family telling me I need to have a baby there next Christmas. I know they mean nothing b

Today has been as nice, lazy sunday. Marty has been at work, so I have: created this blog, tried to get a 90% off coupon from Lowe's gift -a-thon, drank hot chocolate, watched a Christmas in Connecticut, and finished wrapping presents.  I can't believe Christmas is this week! Where has this year gone?  I am looking forward to having a 3 day weekend & spending time with my family.

Hello, I am just trying to get into blogging. We shall see how this goes. To introduce ourselves, we are Ashley & Marty. We a few weeks shy of our celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary. Currently the only child we have is our furbaby, Bailey. He is a six year old yellow lab & spoiled rotten! Ashley is the Creative Coordinator for Nexus Media Group who does the advertising for several groups of Ashley Furniture HomeStores and Stash. I know I will be the one doing all of the blogging :) Marty is a sales rep for AT&T. When we aren't working, we love to attend concerts & sporting events. I feel blessed to be married to such a sweet, loving man. We truly are best friends!
